Girls Day Out

If you have not taken your little one to a show at the Derby Dinner Playhouse You MUST!!! Last Saturday my sister-in-law and I took our two little ones to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! It was FABULOUS! The breakfast was wonderful and Kennedy did not move an inch during the entire show. I think Larkin would have done the same had she not crawled up in her Mommy's lap when the Queen turned into the wicked old woman with the poison apples. The girls just loved it and the Mommies did too! Kennedy can't stop asking when we are going back! They announced during the show the upcoming plays and one was Pinkalicious which is her favorite book so I guess that will be put on the calendar! We can't wait to go back!

The girls just could not wait until the let us in!!! They kept peeking between the curtains...

Do they look EXCITED or what!!!

Mother's Day

The Annual Mother's Day Fishing trip at Ben's Dad's house was a HUGE hit this year! All the Taylor family and friends gather to fish in the pond and then end with a big pot-luck. Conner caught the first fish so he was super excited to say the least! I think it was a little bit of luck, as soon as he casted he got a bite from a HUGE catfish! Kennedy even caught a few this year! Claire couldn't sit still long enough to fish but she sure had fun! My kids look forward to this Taylor Tradition each year! Can't wait till next year!

Kennedy's big catch!

Just her size!

Conner's BIG catch!

I think this one could pass for fish bait!

My Teacher/ My M&M

Well it is so hard to believe that Kennedy has graduated from 3 year old preschool and is moving on to 4 year old preschool and Conner is getting ready to move from Kindergarten to 1st grade! Where does the time go??? They both have had a wonderful year at SJS with WONDERFUL teachers! I wanted to share the gifts we made for their teachers for their end of year treats. I took mason jars and filled with M&Ms and attached a poem personally signed by my kiddos. I thought they turned out super cute and I just love the little poem:

Green is for the inspiration you give me each day.

Blue is for your patience in showing me the way.

Orange is for your warmth and caring style.

Yellow is for the way you always make me smile.

Red is for my life that you have touched this year.

You’re a very special teacher just like this jar, that’s clear.

You place knowledge in children’s hands

And melt into their hearts and lives forever.

You’re a “Magnificent & Marvelous” teacher!

Thank you for being my M & M!
